Abracadabra is a quest for the absolute, a desire to still believe in something. It’s about all the knots we need to untie to reveal who we truly are, without fear or shame. A spell we wish could fix everything, solve it all. A word we repeat while staring out the window. If we say it enough, will it eventually unlock something within us? Joined by five musicians, Klô Pelgag invites us into this constant search for fun, this urgency to create music that cuts through as fiercely as our emotions. After all, maybe the answer lies deep in a show, in that rare feeling of sharing something that leads us to recognize the natural magic of things — Abracadabra.
Opening act - VioleTT Pi (solo)
VioleTT Pi is a Québec electro band of the alternating-current electro-magnet genre, made up of one person (Karl), born in Granby (45° 24' 0.0072” N, 72° 43' 59.9880” W). The band formed in 2010, when a fine collection of beautiful hair met a dance party that could never get enough of Nirvana, Mr. Bungle, and Gilles Deleuze. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses punchy grooves and an elfin voice with a flashy neurosis that makes you want to think while you eat. Recognized by Montréal itself as Montréal’s best foam drinker, VioleTT Pi has sold an impressive number of n albums and n concert tickets. I like it a lot, but I don’t understand what it’s about. In the spring of 2023 of the future, the band will release a new album. In the spring of 2023 of the past, the band released Baloney Suicide on the L-A Be label – Let Artists Be.
